Carving pumpkin's is one of the great memories I have of my childhood. We would all carve pumpkins and then bake the seeds to eat.
It's something that I haven't done in so long and I was so excited to do it with my family. Well, we carved a pumpkin last night...or shall I say, I carved the pumpkin. I bought some fancy kit that was suppose to be very "easy" and you can make all kinds of cool designs. As most of you know, I'm not very crafty and apparently not so good at pumpkin carving! But I had fun trying.
Ben enjoyed pulling out all the "guts" and picking out the seeds, while Addison was happy sitting in her chair trying to see what trouble she could get into!! Art's job was clean up crew and gave the kids a bath while I struggled to make my skull and cross bones. Things didn't go as I planned, but we got some good memories and pictures!
Happy 4th Birthday Addison Grace.

Kayla and Sophia's Halloween Party
October is such a fun month! I love all the fun Halloween stuff for the kids!
Today, Sophia and Kayla had a Halloween party for the neighborhood gang and it was a lot of fun. We played pass the hot pumpkin, chicken limbo and enjoyed some yummy smores! The kids had so much fun that they were both asleep in the car by the time we left the subdivision! :)The kids had a blast playing pass the Hot Pumpkin. Ben had a hard time figuring out that he needed to pass the pumpkin gently rather than chucking it at the kids. But when he has something he can throw, watch out!
Sweet Kayla or should I say Snow White, was the 1st one out, but what a big girl she was about it! Not even a tear!

Addy's Big Birthday Bash
Addison turns 1 !!!!!
Our sweet little Addison Grace turned ONE! Wow- It's so hard to believe that she's already a year. She's grown so fast, and although she's on the small side, she's got big plans for the future. She started the morning clapping her hands and was full of smiles while Ben and I sang to her as she first opened her cute little eyes at 7 AM.
After about 20minutes of being up she realized that it was "her" day and she didn't really want to do what mommy wanted her too....
Then she really got upset when she heard her bottle was going to be taken away.....
But things got better as the day progressed. Mary and the daycare kids helped her celebrate.

The Great Pumpkin, Charile Brown!
Fall is here and I love it! The weather is finally starting to cool off and if those little black bugs would go away, things would be great!

Halloween Photo Time
Today was such a nice fall day that we decided to get the kids out in their costumes and get some pictures. Addy really didn't mind having her costume on, which surprised me. She was more interested in eating the leaves. And Ben just wanted me to stop taking his picture so he could ride his bike in his frog costume! All in all it was a fun time!
Big Boy Bed
This past week we decided to put Ben in a big boy bed. It was sad watching them take apart the crib. I can remember how excited I was the day it was put up. I use to sit in the "nursery" rocking in the chair, staring at the crib, anxiously awaiting the arrival of my sweet little baby. It seems to weird thinking back to my pregnancy with Ben, not knowing what motherhood would be like and having no idea how much our lives would change. It's been an amazing 2 1/2 years!
Ben LOVES his new bed. He's always liked sleeping in our bed, so we knew he'd love his own big bed.
