2 pairs of shorts.....

Ben loves to wear "basketball shorts" and white T shirts. Everyday when we get home he goes into his bedroom and changes into his shorts and T. The other night he came out wearing 3 pairs of shorts. When Art asked him what he was doing he said " he was cold"! Thats our Benjamin and that's why we LOVE him!

Santa's First Stop

This year, since the weather wasn't cooperating and we weren't sure where we would be on Christmas Eve, we made a quick call to Santa and asked him to make us his first stop! So Santa did just what we asked & came to visit the Carnahan house on December 23rd! After eating a nice dinner, we told the kids we thought we may have heard Santa and we should probably go check downstairs! Sure enough, he came! He brought Ben a tool bench & some golf balls and Addison a Kitchen and a soccer ball!!

Here's the pretty display of presents Santa left

Somehow Addison beat Ben down the stairs

She was sooo excited with her kitchen

Ben was excited to get a Magna Doodle

But, his favorite present was 25 golf balls Santa brought!

It was like he'd never seen a golf ball before! This was one of my favorite
memories of the night! How something so small can excite him so much! If only he
could stay this sweet all the time!!!

Addison was much happier running around trying to eat the
paper......next year maybe she'll finally have some teeth!

Splish, Splash...Addy JUMPED into the bath!

Well the title says it all! I started up the kids bath as we do every night, I walked into the bedroom to grab their towels and I hear Ben say "mommy, look at Addy" And this is what I walked in on! We have always thought Ben was going to be our daredevil...but I think Addison might take that award!

I don't think she could figure out why we were laughing and taking pictures

I forgot to add that she had her clothes ON!!!!!!!!

Thank You!

I wanted to Thank all of you for your support the past few days! Art and I are so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends! You all mean the world to us! :)

Let it SNOW!

What a difference a year can make.
Last year Ben hated the snow..this year he LOVES it. He could not wait for daddy to get home from work so he could go out and shovel with him. Here are my boys enjoying their 1st snow of 2008!

Lets Bowl!

With Winter approaching, we started thinking about some fun things to do to keep the kids occupied. It's so hard to stay indoors when your so use to being outside, but one of the good things about Illinois is we get to see all of the seasons. Good or bad. So the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Devin and I decided we would all go do some family bowling! Unfortunately Addison had sit this one out but Ben, Carter, Reese, Art, Brian, Devin and I headed up to the SuperBowl. Dale and Jake came along to share a fun day with us and we are so glad they did! Jake is such an fun little boy to be around! Carter and Ben had a lot of fun with him!

Here are the 3 boys ready to go!
This is my best attempt at getting all 3 of them to look at me and say cheese. As you can see Ben was being the loudest, Carter looks like he's afarid of something and Jake is trying to figure out what is wrong with Ben and Carter!~
Although Pink is one of Ben's favorite colors :)~ The lightest balls they had were pink...so the boys all used pink balls! I guess they go nicely with their hott pink and green shoes!
Warning...Objects may appear bigger in photo's.....Or at least I hope so!
This is Ben's 1st ball...I think be may have knocked over 3 or 4 pins... he was very proud of himself!

Here's Jake and Dale hoping for a big "X"

Carter is truly a Fenza! He is so serious and competitive at only 3 years old! Poor guys was upset that he didn't get a strike all day....maybe next time Carter!

Time to Give Thanks

Thanksgiving......a day of football, food and the horrible feeling that you are going to burst after eating a ton of food! What a wonderful holiday! :)
I do love Thanksgiving because it's a day spent with family and friends, and nothing is better than that!

I can't believe this is Ben's 3rd Thanksgiving. Time flies by so
fast. I think he had a nice day, although he didn't really eat
anything. Holidays always seem to mess with his appetite
!
The Fenza family with there newest addition....what a sweet little baby girl and wonderful big brother.

Look at those lips....makes me want to kiss um!
We are so blessed to have two wonderful children!
Poor Addison was tired and ready for a nap...not a photo shoot.
And she didn't want to sit on daddy's lap either.
I'm sure Addison will be spending a lot of time
in the Time Out chair when she gets older! :)

Markers

This is what happens when mommy is trying to blog and daddy is asleep on the couch! Ben thought it was pretty funny that she got a hold of one of his markers....I didn't!

Throwing a Fit

Miss Addison Grace has learned from all of her daycare friends how to throw a fit! It's so funny to watch her. She throws herself on the floor, puts her head down and her bootie up in the air, then rolls around crying. It's hard not too laugh at her, but ignoring her seems to be the quickest way to make her stop.

She's as happy as can be with favorite binki!

A new baby cousin.....

IT'S A GIRL!!!! Brian & Devin welcomed Reese Renee into the world on Nov 3rd at 2:39 pm! She is so beautiful, just like her mommy! Big Brother Carter was so excited to see her and hold her, although after a while he said she was "heavy"! It was so sweet watching him love on her already! Carter is going to be a great big brother and I'm sure he and Reese will be best friends! I'm such a proud Aunt that I have to post a picture of my gorgeous niece. I can't wait to get my hands on her again and spoil her!

Pumpkin Carving

Carving pumpkin's is one of the great memories I have of my childhood. We would all carve pumpkins and then bake the seeds to eat.
It's something that I haven't done in so long and I was so excited to do it with my family. Well, we carved a pumpkin last night...or shall I say, I carved the pumpkin. I bought some fancy kit that was suppose to be very "easy" and you can make all kinds of cool designs. As most of you know, I'm not very crafty and apparently not so good at pumpkin carving! But I had fun trying.
Ben enjoyed pulling out all the "guts" and picking out the seeds, while Addison was happy sitting in her chair trying to see what trouble she could get into!! Art's job was clean up crew and gave the kids a bath while I struggled to make my skull and cross bones. Things didn't go as I planned, but we got some good memories and pictures!

Kayla and Sophia's Halloween Party

October is such a fun month! I love all the fun Halloween stuff for the kids!
Today, Sophia and Kayla had a Halloween party for the neighborhood gang and it was a lot of fun. We played pass the hot pumpkin, chicken limbo and enjoyed some yummy smores! The kids had so much fun that they were both asleep in the car by the time we left the subdivision! :)The kids had a blast playing pass the Hot Pumpkin. Ben had a hard time figuring out that he needed to pass the pumpkin gently rather than chucking it at the kids. But when he has something he can throw, watch out!

Sweet Kayla or should I say Snow White, was the 1st one out, but what a big girl she was about it! Not even a tear!
Addy sat aside and watched. She's way to cool to play games....

Wow, Look at Reece go!
What a great looking group of kids! They most have some good looking parents!!!!
